Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions from the many clients we have had the pleasure of serving for their weddings and events

  • Yes, we maintain General Liability Insurance.

  • Low-quality equipment is a tell-tale sign of an amateur DJ. It's not something that should be a concern for anyone booking professional DJ services. However, when planning an event, it's important to know the level of professionalism of your vendors in advance. And the quality of a DJ's equipment is a reflection of their professionalism. They may be skilled at mixing music, but if their equipment is outdated or in poor condition, it can detract from the overall experience. Guests will remember the poor sound quality and unsightly set-up, rather than the smooth transitions. That's why at Lionizing Entertainment, we only use state-of-the-art equipment. We ensure that our set-ups are visually pleasing, and the sound is crystal clear with no intrusive wires or faulty speakers. Trust Lionizing Entertainment for a seamless and professional audio experience.

  • At Lionizing Entertainment, our DJs do take song requests and often play many of them, but we also filter requests we receive from guests. If we receive a request for a song or genre that you've specified as a "Do Not Play," we won't play it. However, if a request is made for a song that fits well with your chosen music and atmosphere, the DJ may play it. It's important to remember that your DJ is a professional and they know which tracks get the dance floor going and which ones may clear it out. We don't just show up and press play on a pre-made set, we have the flexibility to react to the vibe of the crowd. We also offer an online planning system, so you can specify your tastes and favorite songs before the event, so there are no surprises.

  • To secure your event date, Lionizing Entertainment requires a non-refundable retainer of 40% upon signing the contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the event. We accept various forms of payment, such as debit, credit, and Venmo, to make the payments process as seamless as possible.

  • We provide DJ services for various events such as weddings, corporate events, private parties, and school functions. We also offer additional services like photo booth rentals.

  • While it's not common, sometimes unexpected incidents happen, and part of planning your event is having a backup plan. You don't want to be left without music during your reception or corporate retreat. At Lionizing Entertainment, we understand this and have a plan in place. When you book a DJ with us, you can be assured that a professional DJ will be present at your event. We always keep a DJ on standby for every event, so in the unlikely event that something happens to your DJ, you'll still have a professional, experienced and talented DJ to keep things moving. Emergencies may be unavoidable, but that's no excuse for your event to be without music. When you book Lionizing Entertainment, you can rest assured that we'll be there to provide the music and entertainment you need.

  • We understand that working with a professional wedding or event DJ is a partnership. Your DJ should be open to your musical preferences and flexible in accommodating them. To ensure smooth execution, we request music in advance, and with our event planning software, we make sure we have all your requests beforehand. However, in case of any last-minute inspiration, we're able to add songs on the spot, ensuring that our DJs are both prepared and flexible

  • We recommend booking at least 6 months prior to your event, but we can try to accommodate last-minute events as well.

  • You can choose the songs you want to hear and those you don't want to hear at your event through our online planning system. You will receive login information for the system in an email with your contract. The number of songs you request is entirely up to you! We recommend providing your DJ with 10-15 songs from different genres and artists that you want to hear. It's also helpful to include a few songs/artists that you don't want to hear. If you request a lot of songs, keep in mind the time constraints of your event. Your DJ will also ask about your music preferences during the initial consultation.
